Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are a new global fund management company based in London, UK, and need to develop a new brand and logo. While we are based in London and invest globally, many of our current clients are in located in Australia and the company has strong ties to both Britain and Australia.
We are an alternative fund management company (sometimes called a hedge fund) and one of our key investment strategies is that of shareholder activism. We take great pride in our efforts to stand up for all investors when shareholders' best interests are not being properly look after.
Our client base is typically somewhat older and more conservative. Ideally the final design should communicate safety and strength.

I have uploaded a number of logo's and brands that resonate with me. The new company's name is Staude Capital, which is not a lot to work with I know. Typically themes about navigating the sea (sails, boats and stars) work well for this sort company, as are other images they convey safety in the face of the unknown (i.e financial markets). I wondered if the S and the C together might be an interesting idea to explore too. Please don't feel compelled to use any of these ideas thought, I am not a creative type and I am really just relaying ideas that I have seen elsewhere. I have been very impressed with all of the original creative work I have seen on this site so far.

For what I am looking to project as a theme, deep blue and navy colours seem to work well. But again I am open to anything.
