I read your about us page from your site. I'm getting the idea that you don't want the regular curly script that you get with other salons. Are you looking for something more on the edgy, rough side so as to set yourselves apart?

Also I'm thinking that text can be the most powerful thing with a name like "Hair Republique", what are your thoughts on that and what are you thinking about colors. I'm sorry if I'm asking too much, I just like to have a little back and forth with customers so that I have a better idea of exactly what they want.

Yes, you are correct, we are looking for something edgy to set ourselves apart. I'm happy for "Hair Republique" to be the focus of the design, however we would also like some sort of logo/symbol/abbreviation/initials as part of the design, so that we have a 'shorter' version of our brand to use when appropriate.

In terms of colours, we are open to all suggestions, however the more simple the better. The logo needs to be easily replicated in mono (straight black and white rather than greyscale) without losing any of its clarity or impact.
