I also would love to see the words COURAGE COMMITMENT and CONNECTION in the crest at the bottom if room can be found as well as the essential WEST Executive Services & Training at the top of the crest.

Ron. West Executive Services & Training is already a lot for a logo. To add "Courage", "Commitment", and "Connection" would really obfuscate your message. If you want to appeal to a wide range of businesses from more conservative attorneys to anything-goes high-tech types, I''d stay away from something as ultraconservative, old fashioned, and complex as a coat of arms, though a simple shield and/or panther design could work. And a photo of you-or anyone-has no place in a logo. Your photo could be used in conjunction with the logo on a web site or brochures. Your personal interests and beliefs, while they may inform the concept, if employed too literally, can only diminish the universal appeal a good logo strives to achieve.
