Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo design for an international freight forwarding company called STRIX GLOBAL LOGISTICS.

I would like the logo to be centered around the word STRIX with the ability to add text like "GLOBAL LOGISTICS" as i may have sub companies using the name STRIX but with other words following and i want to keep them uniform. Because of this i want to keep it quite generic and simple - no pictures of boats, planes, globes etc that one might think of in connection with an international freight business.

STRIX is another term for an owl and i might like some kind of subtle owl feature in the logo, maybe the expanded V shape above the eyes or the eye shape itself with a modern twist or maybe a wing type of shape. It must be subtle or artistic and not just a picture of an owl inserted.

Logo doesn't even necessarily need to have a picture in it, i think i'd be happy with a nicely designed logo of just the text with some design elements to make it look like a logo rather than just text.

I want the logo to be of colour/s that works well on black and/or white background but can be inverted to turn the logo black or white on a colored background of the same colour as the original logo. An example of what i'm talking about is a business card which is white on front with say a mainly orange logo but on the reverse it has orange back ground with white logo. This is what i'd like to be able to do with least amount of colors necessary.

Colors i like based on the owl theme are metallic or silvery colour, dusty orange or dark-ish blue. I am open to other colors though as i am not sure how good my preferred colors will look.

As you can probably tell I've been a bit vague as i dont have a definite idea of what i want in my mind so i'm open to ideas roughly within scope of requirements above.
