Dear designers, thanks so much for your ideas and input - it is really appreciated.
I need to share with you some things on the logo colors: Please use the colours that are already used in the original Sycada logo (see www.sycada.com) as well as the green/grey hues used in the Sycada.Green logo (uploaded in the design brief). At least we have some continuity in the colors. You may combine them as you see fit and what feels rights.
In terms of the logo itself, bear in mind that we are in the space of wireless comms, connected car, GPS tracking, IoT and sustainable transport...so a logo that conveys movement, communication, interconnectedness is key. The company logo (and product labels) that comes the closest to what we are looking for is Adobe (see www.adobe.com). I really like what they are doing with their classic and cloud based logo designs.

We have been developing a GUI kit for our new applications design and decided to use the font ROBOTO (medium/bold and regular) in our applications suite - the logo design should at least be easy on the eye in combination....
