Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are a new company providing editorial services to serious nonfiction book authors, and mainstream publishers, primarily university presses, and nyc trade book publishers such as Simon and Schuster, henry Holt and Random House. You will get a pretty clear sense of what we do, and who we are, by reading the company description, attached. In short, we want a logo likely to catch the eye of literary types. It should convey authority, our commitment to excellence, sophistication.

We are looking for an arresting, stylized image of something literary--a pen or a book are the obvious choices, but we are open to others. We'd like to avoid the stuffy, classic, tweedy traditional bookish treatment in favor of something more "contemporary."
We have no particular color in mind. Use what you think works best.
