Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

QuESST is a new department within the company, Gilead Sciences, the largest Biotech company in terms of market cap.

QuESST stands for Quality, Efficiency, Standards, Systems, Training. We are responsible for the infrastructure of a department of 300 people, and we work with global staff members from vendor organizations.

QuESST is part of the Biometrics department, which includes Clinical Data Managers, Biostatisticians, Statistical Programmers, and Bioinformatics. We collect and analyze the data from Clinical Trials and prepare it for submission to regulatory agencies to get new drugs approved.

I would like to design a logo where there is a pathway as a part of it. Either as part of the Q, leading into the open area, or a logo that makes the two letter S's come together to form a pathway (open at the bottom left and converging to a point at the top right where the two S's connect). I am open to other ideas, such as making the Q a magnifying glass looking at charts/graphs/analytics/metrics.

The colors we have to work with are as follows:
Red (R204, G0, B0)
Gray (R51, G51, B51)
Yellow (R204, G153, B0)
Orange (R204, G51, B0)
Green (R102, G153, B102)
Violet (R153, G102, B153)
Blue (R51, G51, B153)
Dark Blue (R0, G0, B102)

I lean toward using the dark blue and yellow, but am open to suggestions. The corporate logo uses the red and gray, and includes a shield symbol. We do not want to be too similar to that.

The branding for this group is primarily for internal purposes, rather than external marketing.
