Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a new logo for a cartoon project called 'Megabeasts.' The logo will feature as the symbol of the 'superhero' team and would be the symbol to be used for any merchandise down the line. The logo needs to scream 'Megabeasts' and portray the combined power of technology and nature. We are currently only focused on creating a logo along the lines of the old 'Thundercats' symbol. Something worthy of the brand.
The characters and synopsis can be seen in the attached files, which will offer further insight into the style of show. The existing symbol of the 'M' with lightning bolts was carried through the early stages of development but now needs improving.
A popular idea is to combined the capitals 'MB' for Megabeasts, with a metallic 'M' to represent the technology and a stylised 'B' in the form of a silhouetted gorilla with open mouth and bared teeth to represent the power of nature (and the leader of the group). Obviously it would help if this could be formed to appear like a 'B'.
We are open to colour suggestions, with some opinions heading towards metallic silver for the 'M' and a green for the 'B'. But we are open-minded on that.
The final design should project the power of the team, be able to represent the brand on merchandise, and be easily recognisable once established.
