Web-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are looking to launch a website related to “cuesports”, especially snooker. Snooker is a popular sport in The UK and worldwide.

We are looking to build 2 pages with you for this contest

- the homepage
- and a page which will be used FOR EACH player we are working with and promoting (More below)

At the moment we have no idea about the design but it should be classy, ie. maybe similar to many of the high end fashion sites - maybe this kind of look?

UNLESS THIS IS COMPLETELY THE WRONG IDEA FOR WHAT WE ARE DOING, we will leave it up to you to show us some of your best ideas and help us succeed!

We are more interested in the layout and design than the text at this stage. We can add gthe main text later with your help or by ourselves, but Design, look and feel is what we want to see for this contes. Obviously if you have any questions we will give you regular feedback during the time of this contest.

This will be an ecommerce site but we expect to get to the shopping cart stage in about a month

Our main marketing tool will be our website.

There are 3 core parts to our business in priority order:

1. Sales of Snooker/Billiards Equipment
We will be selling everything from the smallest items, snooker tips, chalk, to snooker cues (sticks) all the way to Major items such as snooker tables.

2. Sale of our own branded fashion accessories: T’shirts, Caps, jackets, cologne etc etc

3. Our booking section, where we will promote famous snooker players and other sports stars for exhibitions, after dinner speaking, golf days, etc
(probably 1 page per player in the booking section with a picture, brief bio, summary of the kind of things they can be booked for and perhaps a tarrif sheet, though we may not publish this information online and prefer to ask people to contact us if they wish to book a player

Target Markets

Mainly the UK and Europe, but snooker is becoming increasingly popular in China

Demographics are mostly males aged 16 and 40


Logo Design (separate contest at a later time)

1. The design must project a sense of professionalism and have a high class feel

2. Must Have Priorities:

- Modern, professional and friendly.
- Strong emphasis on usability.
- mobile friendly - responsive

3. Should not Have:

- An anonymous cold and corporate feel.
- A too busy feel.

4. The winner of this design contest will also be awarded a freelance project to help us further develop/complete the site.
