Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo design for my professional consulting business called "The Data Collector". Please read my description in the Target Market area as to the primary services I provide to my clients. The logo needs to project and communicate professionalism, knowledge, and sophistication. The logo should be to be clean, simple, clever, polished. My goal is to blend computer/I.T. with the legal industry. Kind of the simple, sophisticated look of Apple. I have a partial vision(but not married to) of a view looking down on a hard drive or a drawing of a hard drive. Or possibly two hard drive with a thumbprint and some way to portray hard drive 1 is identical to hard drive 2. Maybe a magnify glass to show an investigation. Or perhaps something completely different. Ultimately, I'd like to use for a business card, letterhead, and website. If you have suggestions for a great font to be used for my memos, reports, and client correspondence that would be great. I'm currently using Lucida Console, but not married to it.

The major of my clients are attorneys and law firms seeking my professional services. In addition, large eDiscovery and litigation supports vendors that provide the same services as I do, but often outsource the data collection process to someone like me simply because I'm located in the same geographic area as the client site. Primary services are to forensically create exact copies of computer hard drives and electronics files located on computer servers, USB drives, thumbdrives, etc. These services are necessary for the litigation process - preservation of potentially relevant electronically stored information, also know as electronic discovery.
