Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

A logo is required for a new game app that will be available Apple and Android tablet devices. Two version of the logo are required:
• Large format – for website and marketing collateral
• Small format – for app icon

GeoFrog is an immersive interactive Augmented Reality game for Year 5 students and above to assist the learning of both:
• Geography: country and capital city locations and names,
• New technology: Augmented Reality.

User Interface (UI) design is futuristic, such that students are encouraged to image they are looking down at earth through the portal of a spaceship. The UI is intended to present themes of technology, adventure and discovery. A slightly cartoonish style UI is deliberately chosen to appeal to younger children. Example of the UI are supplied.

The name GeoFrog has two elements, firstly it is a play on words to closely resemble the word ‘Geography’, and secondly to conjure the idea of being able to ‘leap’ around the world to identify countries.

A concept drawing is provided, it shows a frog wearing a space helmet straddling the earth. Designers are encouraged to use this as the basis for their design, however other concepts will be considered should they be compelling and address the following key themes:
• Geography: location of countries and their capital cities,
• Technology: Augmented Reality and 3D,
• Space: The view of earth from space,
• Child inspiring: embody fun by enabling cartoon design
• A frog.
