Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The brief:
To deign a new logo for a well established tool and hardware wholesaler from South Africa.

What we do?
Benray Tool Wholesalers sell tools and hardware products to hardware stores/retailers in South Africa. Our product include : power tools, welding equipment, abrasives and general hardware.

What makes us different?
1. We have a more personal relationship with our customers. This is because we choose to to business with fewer customers than our competitors. But we work more closely with our customers and try to be a partner rather than simply a supplier.
2. We market our products in a much more exciting way than our customers. We do more exciting roadshows, competitions and promotions.

Why we are re-branding?
Benray is a 25 years old company. For the first 20 years, it operated as a small, conservative business supplying only local customers. 5 years ago, a new, young and innovative management team took control of the business. Since then, the business has grown, opening branches across the country and increasing in size. We want our new look to reflect the ambition, energy and innovative culture that the new management has brought to the business.

What we want?
1. We want the logo to simply say "Benray Tools"
2. We want the logo to reflect our energy and ambition.
3. We want the logo to work well with our clothing and apparel. People must find our branded clothes attractive.
4.. Must work well on our vehicles, demo vans etc.

Our current logo:
Our current logo is not memorable.Many of our customers would not recognize our logo and instead, they know us by the products we distribute. We would like to retain the blue and white colors. (I have uploaded the current logo)

Ideas from Racing Logos:
I have uploaded some racing logos that we like.
Brembo Logo : I like the composition. With the text "Racing" written across the main text. We could have the word "Tools" written across "Benray"
Castrol : I like the font style of the word Racing
TDR : I like the font of the text TDR. (The "R" looks cool. We could use that for the R in Benray.)
