Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We have a 50 yr old logo for our company that needs a refresh. Looking for some fresh eyes! Our CEO/President is resistant to change, so does not want a drastically different design, but does understand the need for the update. I think even using the term "rebranding" is scary for him. The marketing team has settled on the tagline "Bringing inspiration to your home", but does not want this incorporated into the logo at this time. However, that is the brand identity the CEO understands from a product stand-point. We just need to be able to incorporate that same feel into the actual logo. Roman manufacturers and distributes product in the areas of home decor, seasonal, church goods, gift and accessories. Many of these items incorporate inspirational/religious messages. We are a B2B business that sells directly to independent retailers - gift shops, church bookstores, hospital gift shops and large retail chains across the US and internationally. I've attached two documents. One is the original logo from 50 years ago "Old Logo" and the second logo in blue is a more recent one from maybe 10 years ago. Everyone is way over the blue in the current logo so we know we want to go away from that. The website is roman.com if you want to take a look.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• The arch is a must have. We will need the main logo to be white, but would like additional options for color. We would like a gray/silver background option. Clean, simple and modern design is what we are after. This logo would be used on packaging, product labels, website, print materials/catalogs, window decals, business cards, etc.

Schön zu haben

• While we would like to see ideas on a "tweaked" logo that does not stray too much from the original (new font for the text? "R"? Slight angel or shape to the arch?), it would be fun to see a completely different version, based on the direction in this brief as far as the brand identity. Also, while we would like see the logo in grayscale, it would be nice to see maybe one new design in color.
