Vektor-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We are developing a website that examines each of the traditional 613 commandments found in the Hebrew Bible (the Torah). The commandments are often organized into 30 categories and we need an icon for each category. We are looking for something flat, crisp, clean, and respectful of the subject matter. We are not looking for anything cartoonish, crass, or entertaining. The categories are the following:
1. Appointed Times (Biblical holy days)
2. Business
3. Courts, Crimes, and Punishments
4. Food
5. Forbidden Mixtures
6. Forbidden Sexual Relationships
7. G-d (no Christian imagery please)
8. Idolatry
9. Levites & Priests
10. Loans
11. Love
12. Marriage and Family
13. Morality
14. Nazirites (see Numbers chapter 6)
15. Oaths
16. Personal Appearance
17. Prayer and Confession
18. Prophecy
19. Providing for the Poor
20. Redemption of the Firstborn
21. Ritual Purity and Impurity
22. Sacrifices and Offerings
23. Shemittah and Yovel (the 7th year cessation from farming and the 50th year release of debts)
24. Signs and Symbols
25. Slaves and Servants
26. Temple and Sacred Objects (e.g. ark of the covenant)
27/ Terumah and Tithes (the produce given to the Levitical priests)

I went with the "vibrant" colors, selected some complimentary and split-complimentary colors and came up with these colors:

- A different color/shade for each icon would be nice but is not required.
We prefer solid versus stroke icons but are open to both.
If you use a background then square (e.g. http://dribbble.com/shots/996783-Freebie-PSD-Flat-Icons) is preferred over circular (e.g. http://dribbble.com/shots/1046605-12-Flat-Icons-Free)
We have been testing some 128px icons with 10px padding but larger would be fine.
