Hello. This seems to be quite a task. One that I would like to tackle.

However, I have some questions.

1. What size to you want the card to be? 5.5 x 8.5 inch?

2. You have 34 pictures uploaded. On the front page with the map, you want all 34 pictures displayed? Going to be a busy front page. If not all 34, then do you have a preference to which photos are on front?

3. Squares with pictures to be .2 - .3 inch? That is far to small to make the picture even recognizable.

4. Do you want larger versions of the boxes/pictures on the inside of the card to display the name along with the photo?

5. Also, are you aware that we have to edit each and every photo for size to make them all look consistent? That, alone, will require quite a bit of work. Just thought you should be made aware of that.

YES THIS SHOULD BE FINE IF ITS THE SIZE OF A REGULAR GREETING CARD. IT SHOULD BE PORTRAIT STYLE.

ALL PICTURES ARE NOT NECESSARY BUT WE REALLY WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THE AFRICAN AMERICAN AND HISPANIC PRINCIPALS. PLEASE ADD 10- AFRICAN AMERICAN, 8 HISPANIC AND 4 CAUCASIAN.

NO PICTURES ON THE INSIDE JUST THE WORDING. WE WILL HAVE SIGNATURES ON THE INSIDE WHICH I CAN SEND AT ANOTHER TIME.

I HAVE THE CITY MAP FOR YOU TO USE IF YOU WANT IT. A COLLAGE TOOL MAY HELP.

OPTION 1
PRINCIPAL PHOTOS OUTSIDE OF THE MAP WITH DOTS INSIDE THE MAP HIGHLIGHTING AREAS THAT THEY REPRESENT (WILL BE SENT LATER) WITH TEXT INSIDE THE MAP SAYING xxxx RETAINED THIS YEAR.

OPTION 2
PHOTOS INSIDE THE MAP WITH WRITING ON THE SIDE XX PRINCIPALS RETAINED

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PLAY AROUND WITH THIS.

Congrats to the winner. However, I am baffled. It is absolutely nothing like what was being requested!!!

The concept didn't look good. Sometimes it looks good in your head but not on paper. The winner is fast and in constant contact with me which is why we are continuing to work on the design together. This is not the finish product.

Most of us are good, fast designers. You apparently changed your mind about what you wanted, but failed to give us a chance. Oh well, good luck. Oh, by the way, the winning design as it shows cannot be folded into a card. What the designer shows on the left is the front, and what shows on the right is the inside right.

This is only a sketch. I should have resent this out to everyone but I will know how to do this better in the future. Thanks.

If you plan to work with one designer, you should consider a 1 to 1 project. That way we other designers will not have to spend valuable time that we have too little of...

In this case, that does not apply. I didn't know any designers to chose from. I sent out a contest and waited for results from everyone. He was the only one that gave multiple ideas even ideas that I didn't think of. Now that I think about I should have waited until the time was over but I didn't want to further waste anyone's time as this person was hitting the mark.
