Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo designed for my new company, MRG Resources, that is focused of exploring for minerals and metals. The company mainly focuses on gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, and nickel exploration and uses geological, geochemical, and geophysical interpretation to identify prospective areas worthy of detailed exploration.

I am looking for a logo that is easy to reproduce on documents, web, and the usual promotional gear (hats, shirts, etc) and am quite open to any design that is eye catching, topical, and preferably colourful without being over the top.

MRG Resources has a sister company, MRG Consulting, that is also geological focused. I would be great to have a cool logo the same for both companies with just Resources switched for Consulting to help with my branding.
