BA Insight is a provider of tools that help SharePoint users build search based applications for business to business users.

What's an example of a search based application in the consumer world? Think of Zagat's, or Open Table - you want to eat out, but you want to find it in your neghborhood, in a certain price range, with a certain rating, and a certain type of cuisine. It helps you find specific information based on a need - we do the same for business users.
