Flyer-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need an A4 flyer to accompany a letter being sent to church leaders/vicars/priests that persuades them to put a link on their website to friends1st and explains simply how to do this. The flyer will contain 4 easy steps as follows:

2. In order for us to track “your” link we need to give a “unique to you” link for you to use.

It’s dead simple to obtain

Go to www.friends1st.co.uk/referafriend and add in your details

You’ll immediately see on screen your unique tracking link (UTL)


3. Use your unique tracking link (UTL) on your website to link to friends1st – e.g use the word friends1st or link to our logo


Here we’d have a picture of a church website page – illustrating a links page

(Designers - have a look for example at http://www.kidlington-baptist.org.uk/about-us/links - although it might be better to use our logo and the words ‘friends1st’ than shown banner. Then on the actual link you’d put an arrow coming out of the diagram – to explain: Your unique tracking link is what the word friends1st (and our logo if you link that too) links to. The link we give you takes people to the friends1st homepage and tracks they’ve come from your site.


4. If visitors to your website click this link and join us, your church/organisation will earn commission

Key messages and desired design effect to get these message across

Step 4 – really what it’s all about for them. The key motivation ie. Money coming to their church/organisation – this needs to be illustrated graphically – it’s a small step for them to do and could lead to an inflow of cash. Perhaps illustrate with flowing pound notes going into a church – or something that illustrates a tiny bit of work for them – that leads to a nice flow of cash. This probably needs to be prominent in the whole flyer

We have to have an eye catching design that will get incredibly busy vicars/church leaders/leaders of organisations to take action. Putting a link to us on their website will NOT be on their list of priorities by a million miles so the flyer has got to make them really really want to do it – by seeing the benefits. Perhaps the benefits could be what they’d spend our commission on. Minimum commission is £30 – so perhaps illustrate with what £30 could be used for – contributing to church repairs, buying new books, supporting a social need project. Do NOT put the £30 in the design.

Vicars / church leaders receiving this flyer DON’T have to do the work themselves. But if they are in agreement to putting a link on their site, they must get the flyer to the right person. This will be whoever operates/ manages/ updates their church website. This is a key message to get across. Ie Give this flyer to the right person in your church who manages your website and tell them to get the job done!

Attached is draft letter going to vicars – see 2nd page for details of what I want the A4 flyer for, as well as our logos. You'll design the flyer taking into account our corporate colours as you can see from our website www.friends1st.co.uk. I'd recommend understanding the information we provide on www.friends1st.co.uk/referafriend before starting this project
