I need a new design for my family saga book trilogy, set in country Australia mostly, England + US (New York). Story begins in 1942. Key characters include a young Australian girl, blonde, 18 in 1942, from a wealthy country family; her brother a Lancaster pilot in England during the war; an American Army doctor (captain) posted to Australian in 1942. The Belleville family's grand Australian country house (2 storeys, built in the 1880s).
Book 1 TITLE: The House of Secrets: Julia's Story
SUB: Book 1 of the Belleville family saga
Book 2 TITLE: To Love, Honour and Betray (note the Australian spelling of Honour)
SUB: Book 2 of the Belleville family sagaBook 3 TITLE: Return to Prior Park
SUB: Book 3 of the Belleville family saga
I want a theme that runs through the three books, but happy to just have the first 2 covers, as the third book hasn't been written yet.
I've attached the existing cover, but it doesn't fit the genre. It's too different from what readers expect. Readers are women 35+ who enjoy historical, romantic, family sagas, except this is grounded in reality. No purple prose or impossible heroes.

I just wanted to be sure that prospective designers know that I want a theme that can carry across three books but I am not expecting to get three full designs for the price of one. One that appeals to a female audience 35yr+ - must fit the genre. Could be a sepia/tinted cover. House should be depicted. Reference is http://jimbour.com as something I had in mind. Project Deadline Extended Reason: I have provided a more detailed brief, with images, and a text document for copy for back and front covers. Only other thing I want on the cover is a Lancaster bomber - I can source cover image if required. As this was my first attempt at this I probably wasn't full across how to make this work for everyone. Added Sunday, February 26, 2017
