Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hey there Folks,

I work for The ReCyclery in Port Townsend, Washington. Check out our website and logo at ptrecyclery.org. We are writing a grant for a mobile bike repair and outreach center called the BikeMobile. It will literally be a mobile bike shop on wheels that will be driven to rural areas to teach kids about bike repair and maintenance. We need a powerful logo that will help bring it all together. I have two files below, one of our logo, the other of a bus covered by bicycles as inspiration. Consider though, our bus will be much better maintained and will have a modern feel :o)

The logo should look good stamped on the side of a bus but should also stand solidly alone. The typography of the logo should tie in with any marks/images used. Perhaps there is a way to incorporate different marks for both BIKE and MOBILE? WE WANT THE LOGO TO LOOK GOOD AND MATCH WITH OUR CURRENT LOGO "THE RECYCLERY" (see attached file)

The ReCyclery is a non-profit community cycling center with a mission to "promote health and sustainability through bicycles." The BikeMobile will be a powerful tool for us to reach people of all ages in rural areas. We will be taking the BikeMobile to schools and we'll be using the logo on promotional material as well as on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through this site.

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• This logo MUST be appealing to kids, yet also adults- think apple or pixar type stuff that appeals to all ages but is also bold, strong and powerful. It must be a logo that would look good on a bus, as that's likely what we're putting it on. It must be viewable on both white and black backgrounds.

Schön zu haben

• It would be great if this logo only used 1-3 colors and no more. I am particularly interested in colors that are positive, fun, and inspiring. It'd be nice if it looked good on a t-shirt. It'd be nice if it was simple and pleasing to the eye. Nothing so fancy that you can't tell what it says from far away. It'd be nice if it carried some sense of motion and incorporated marks related to both "bike" and "mobile."
