Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design and single page website for a small theater company based in Boston called the Underlings Theatre Co. We are a group of young artists that specialize in new productions of classic works and classically-inspired new plays. We are fascinated by the way the stories we tell, in turn, tell stories about us. Recent productions have included a modern-dress production of Hamlet and a new drama about performing theater in a war zone. Future productions will focus on nearly-human artificial intelligence and the radicalization of youth.

The final design should mirror our fascination with the crossover between classical and contemporary. It should be well-suited to advertising for theatrical seasons including both dramas and comedy. It should work well in both black and white and color. It should be clean and modern. It should be recognizable, but not starkly out-of-place on any future show advertisements. We look forward to seeing your work!

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• Logo must have clean, modern lines for use on future design projects. The text must be clear and unobscured. Theatre must be spelled with an -re at the end. Should fit well into square formats for social media.

Schön zu haben

• Something slightly messy, unfinished, or wrong, which matches with our devotion to new works, such as a typewriter-like font. A bold use of white space.

Sollte nicht haben

• Masks. Curtains. Roman columns. Books. Swords. Shakespeare. Pens. Dancers. Anything having to do with movies, like film, cameras, etc. White text over squiggly lines in the background, like Signature Theatre Company's logo.
