Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo (or set of related, themed logos) for my software company - at the moment it's primarily a vehicle for contracting so it should be fairly clean, simple and professional, but I eventually want to move into selling products / direct services so ideally it would be suitable for product branding as well as the usual stuff (if that even makes sense to do!). Any products I do create are likely to be social/data focused and web-based and their own branding would ideally be somewhat in-keeping with the main company logo and style.

I'll need it (or them?) to look good as the main logo on my website, business cards, letter-heads, email signature, etc, but it would be good if it could be used as / made into a 'Built by...' footer badge I could put on any websites or such that I make or sell.

My company name is 'D2S Software' but happy for the 'Software' to be dropped or shortened for different applications and the case to be whatever works - the letters 'd2s' in the first bit can almost be made to be pleasingly symmetrical in certain font styles and I think the letters are generally more pleasant in lower case.

I have no particularly strong preference on colours, though I do generally like darker colours, particularly blues and greys.
