Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We sell racing go karts mostly for 8-13 year olds. These are mini formula 1 looking karts that drive on paved road courses. These kids are serious competitors many of which travel across the US and internationally to race.

One of the early lessons for kids learning to race is the concept of "late apexing" or going "slow in and fast out". On most corners, apexing late is critical to developing the maximum possible exit speed from a corner. This is especially important on corners leading to long straight aways as every extra mph of exit speed is carried all the way down the straight. Screw up the corner and you're slow all the way down the straight.

I don't have too many preconceptions around the logo but I did upload a few files to throw a couple of things out there for thought. The first was a combination of fonts I liked given the font for "late apex" kind of spoke to the fact we were teaching kids racing and while this is a serious sport, we don't take ourselves too seriously.

I've also downloaded 2 pictures that I think help to show what it means to "late apex" a corner. By late apexing, you get more of your turning done before the half way point of the corner allowing you to open up your wheel and hit the accelerator earlier in the corner than the "geometric" line which has even turning throughout the corner.

I've tried to think of ways to incorporating a graphic image either specific or slightly abstract which depicts or hints at a late apex line around a corner. Would be neat to figure out how to do that in some fashion.

I am open to anything but at least I've given you a few concepts or ideas to work with. To get you in the spirit, I've also attached a picture of my 10 year old winning his first national race at the end of March. These are the kinds of karts and the type of racing we do.
