Thanks to the designs submitted so far. And to everyone intending to submit over the next few days, don't forget this is not a contest for a totally new concept. I need you to come up with a second cover based entirely on the first one (image attached to the original brief)! So, apart from different models and a different image along the bottom I need everything else to stay as before. So layout, fonts, position of images, etc. Happy to have a change of background colour if you think it works!

Hoping this helps. I have just uploaded a screenshot of a series of novels to the brief to give everyone an idea how closely I want my own covers to resemble each other. You can see how every cover uses exactly the same layout, styling, colour scheme, etc, so that a reader can pick out the series without any bother. This is what we have to achieve with my books, as they are all part of the same family saga. So each book picks up where the last one left off.

Thank you so much to everyone who has worked on this project. I think it was probably harder for you to work with and match the existing cover than to come up with an original design! So many got it nearly right, but the choice of model was usually the stumbling block. Getting the reader to associate with the 'look' of the model on the front cover is perhaps the most important aspect of a romance book cover, and that's waht made it all the harder.
