Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for our new urban farming business, Yummy Fresh Farms, based in Austin, Texas. We grow organic vegetables, herbs, salad greens, fruits, and fish, in the city, close to our markets, where we can provide the freshest produce in the market. We grow our food using an innovative technology called aquaponics, with which fish and plants are raised together in a mini ecosystem in which the natural waste from the fish fertilizes the plants which in turn filter the water for the fish. It is a highly efficient and productive system of food production that mimics nature and the beneficial symbiotic relationships between species. We are a social enterprise, who aims to provide healthy, fresh, organic foods to urban communities, at affordable prices, with minimal environmental impact, and in a way that recirculates wealth in the local economy.

We would like a logo that is playful, wholesome, colorful, family and child friendly, but also simple and beautiful, and one that expresses our values of community, sustainability, and innovation. We have included some sample images below of our first attempts at creating a working logo, which can be used as a reference, but we are open to different creative approaches to the logo design.

Muss haben

• It must convey food production (especially fish and leafy vegetables).

Schön zu haben

• It would be nice if the logo could express our values of community and sustainability, as well as our location in urban environments. Another theme relevant to our systems that would be nice to include in the logo is the theme of a "cycle"...circular, recirculating, recycling, etc, because of the recirculating, ecological nature of our aquaponics systems.
  
  It would be nice to have the logo be simple enough to work well both in color and in black and white.

Sollte nicht haben

• Should not have images of a traditional farm (e.g. barn, field crops, etc.), since we are creating a new type of farm in the city, using aquaponics systems. Should not be overly colorful and silly.
