Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

My daughters require a logo design for their new online business based in Cambridge, Ontario called: Luv My Wave. Their venture is a vinyl record store that specializes in selling new wave and punk music from the 1980s.

I listened to a great deal of new wave and punk music during the 80s. I had forgotten that I had stored a lot of my old vinyl record collection in the garage. My teenage daughters found my collection one day, bought an old record player at a garage sale and loved listening to the music of the Cure, Psychedelic Furs, B52s, OMD and Tears for Fears on vinyl. They also loved the album artwork. We soon started collecting together. I am now helping them to set up an online store to sell new wave vinyl to help pay for their college educations.

The goal of their store is to capture the awesome feel and radical look of the new wave movement for a new generation of cool kids that are now discovering this music for the first time. They even created the name for their store, Luv My Wave, after listening to the Psychedelic Furs' song: Love My Way from 1982.

The final logo design should be hip, fun, upbeat, very colorful and appeal to all persons-especially the younger crowd. I have included some album art of the B52s that I hope conveys the feel that they are trying to capture in the design.

I really appreciate your help in making their online store totally tubular (their words).

• It would be nice to possibly include young teenage girls in the design with an 80s look and feel.

• Many online record stores are boring and are geared to serious collectors. They plan to sell great quality records but target a younger cooler crowd.
• The design should not be dull or boring.
