Basically key concept is a page getting in a digital platform and/or opposite of that... So it''s making feel audience that there''s a relation between real and digital platform with this icon... 

That''s the best way to be simple and clear, emphasizing keywords "paper" and "digital media" for your need. And if you add a sense of "becoming something digital" to that (a paper dissolving to it''s pixels) i think it makes a point. 

In addition... As a little touch, i preferred using 90% of black instead of 100%. There''s absoultely no issue with using black but as a designer i came to the conclusion that recently softer colors effects audiences perceptions in a nice way. Briefly it''s a little touch that supporting an important keyword for us: modern. There''s two options as form, flat and curvy. First one is for being highly simplistic and modern. Curvy one is for a little more paper (real) sense and emphasizes modern again in it''s own way with it''s nice anatomy. I tested people around me and didn''t come accross with any contrasting idea. But more importantly, is there any in your mind?
