Hello designers,

Thank you for the beautiful and creative designs you have submitted so far. We would like to provide some feedback to guide future submissions.

1) it is NOT necessary to include the acronym LLF in the design.
2) some of the designs make one of the words more prominent than the others. If this is the case, please make the word "Friends" the one that is more prominent. ( It is also OK if all of the words are in the same font and size, as is the case in some of the designs. )
3) some of the designs incorporate a book or books. When this is the case, we prefer the ones that have an open book or books, as it feels more inviting.
4) We want to respect the designers' time and efforts, and not ask for changes until we have narrowed down the choices to the top four or five designs. We know that it takes time and energy to make changes, and we don't want everyone to make changes if it is not one of our "short listed" designs.
5) We tend to prefer the designs that incorporate some sort of symbolic image ( as opposed to the ones that incorporate shapes that are not symbolic images). Some examples of what we mean by "symbolic" images we have seen are: a person or people, a book or books, tree or plant, a character, star, light bulb, sun, etc. These are just examples, other symbolic images are welcome.
6) The designs that look upbeat, friendly, inspiring, happy colors, motivating are the ones we prefer.

We have seen an idea we like if any designer can try to create something similar: an open book, with pages loosely open, and a butterfly or bird emerging from the pages, as if the pages are becoming the butterfly or bird. We like the idea of a simple, stylized butterfly or simple profile of a bird in flight, like in the uploaded images. Not realistic, just a suggestion of the flight and transformation. Some color is OK, but simpler is better.

With the text, please make "Friends" the prominent word, and "Library Literacy" smaller or with less emphasis.
