Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo done up for a team charity rally in Africa. It's a trek across Southern Africa in a team, all for charity, and we are dedicating it to a friend who we recently lost after being killed by an elephant. I have 3 or so images I would love to be included and have a few ideas.
Our team is called "Bundu Bashers" and would love the entire logo to be a little fun, funky, and a little crazy and based on everything Southern African. I was hoping for a sunset. A silhouette of a baobab, crazy animals, a land rover whilst somehow incorporating the map of Africa into a footprint that is added in. All in the form of a cartoon type logo.

Reasonably simplistic but mainly fun, funky and African!
