Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

APIAS Training is a brand new business based in Melbourne, Australia. We are in the training industry - obviously! Our core business is providing training to teachers in their responsibilities as Mandatory Reporters. This involves reporting to the relevant authorities any instances of child abuse that they become aware of.

It's all about protecting children and creating a safe space for them through making sure the people that they confide in have the skills to help them.

The name APIAS came from the idea that we were creating a 'safe haven' or 'refuge' for children at risk, and we thought of 'Any Port in A Storm' - hence APIAS. Customers wont be aware of the story behind the name APIAS, but we would like the logo to reflect that.

In terms of design, we are looking for the following elements:

Something created - not generated
Something circular in nature - google 'Mandala' or the logo for Origin Energy to see where we're coming from
Something in blues, greys and a hint of yellow (hope etc)
I like the imagery of a lighthouse and waves craching against rocks - but stylised

What we dont want is: stick figures of children, block words from Word smart art
