Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
This is a logo contest for one of the very few floatation therapy (formerly known as sensory deprivation) studios in Lithuanian capital city Vilnius. Floating is a procedure which brings you inside a completely dark and sound-proof tank filled with dense salt solution enabling your body to float on the surface and temporarily escape effects of gravity, while sensory stimuli feeding your brain and nervous system are significantly reduced. Profound relaxation, stress relief, increased focus and other therapeutic effects are noticed shortly after the immersion on both physical and mental levels.
I have chosen to name the studio "Deep Float", since I would like to emphasize the depth of inner experience, which is attainable during the float session in comparison to "shallow' experiences of daily city life. I would like these words to figure in the logo (with no capitalization), while letters "oa" in the word "float" merge together in a symbol of infinity. Word “deep” could be written from bottom to top, thus representing depth in a graphical way too.
The flotation experience draws strong aquatic associations to people and the salt solution inside the tank can strongly remind one of the ocean water. Hence, I would like to see a stylized image of a single dolphin or two dolphins interacting with each other and/or the other elements as a conceptual axis of the logo. Color-wise, I would prefer the higher chakra tones - hues of blue and purple being used, together with white and/or black playing their role in the background.
