What does Payment Not Guaranteed mean for designers?

When a project is marked as guaranteed it means that the customer has committed to paying out a designer and has waived their right to get their money back. If it is not guaranteed, the customer can opt to get a refund of their money.
You can determine if a project is guaranteed by viewing the job brief and looking out for the following image marked on the project:
Customers are eligable for a refund if they have not selected to guarantee their project and in accordance with the DesignCrowd refund policy.

Hello there, thank you for the message.  To be honest, this is my first time using Design Crowd and I am still learning the best protocol for working well with Designers.  I can totally understand your point of view and frankly I need to understand the guaranteed payment option which I will look into now.  I can certainly see the practical issues from a designer perspective to devoting lots of effort for no return.
