Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I'm looking to add a logo to my company called "grandPic", it's a the french name for a type of woodpecker, the Pileated WoodPecker. I choose the name "grandPic" because in a way this bird sculpts the wood like a luthier does for a guitar. The company name is from two words, "grand" which means tall and "pic" which means pick as like a tool. That's why the "g" isn't in capital and the 'P' is.
However, you can use capital letter if you feel it's looking better, i'm open for some ideas.

I would like the logo the represent this woodpecker, but in a modern/simple form. Something that could be easily put on any guitars as symbol of my company. If you want to use some color, use the Pileated WoodPecker's color.

The core of the company business is repair, rebuild and build guitars. We try as much as we could to be eco-friendly with our product and where the material come from. Where base in the north of Québec city in a town name Chicoutimi. The region itself is called Saguenay where you can find beautiful backcountry paysage.

As for myself, I'm an engineer who convert from standard engineering to luthier, so I put a lot of my background in my instruments. My vision is keep it simple and beautiful, the beauty are in the detail not in the extravagance.

So this is my description but I'm open minded, so you can derogate if you want. As long as it make sense with the business.

• A pileated woodpecker must be somewhere and simple enough to be "easily" carve or mark on the guitar. I don't want to use a sicker.

Sollte nicht haben

• I don't want an heavy logo with a lot of detail.
• Cartoonish font or that make feel the entreprise not serious
