We are a new startup that provides information security consulting services for enterprise customers. We are looking for a basic logo design that can be used on our website, business cards & legal docs.
I have attached an example of a logo that incorporates concepts that we have affinity towards, however we are not artists and are open to better artistic vision.
The name of the startup is Null Security, however we also operate under "NullSec". Either name can be used on logo design, depending on what looks better.

Amazing designs, thank you everyone. Have been sharing with my team for feedback. There are several designs they are currently partial to. I've updated the project description with additional themes we've seen that weren't specifically mentioned, but we've seen in the designs (additions noted with a *):- 'Sinister' aspects (reflecting the intrinsic offensive/defense nature of infosec)- Themes incorporating predatory insects (mantis/spider/scorpion/wasp/etc)* Themes incorporating 'grey hat' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_hat).* Themes incorporating key traditional security (keys, locks, vaults, etc).* Coloring: we are partial to green, black, grey (traditional infosec colors).* Fonts: Thicker, bolder fonts ("imposing") appear to work better with the overall theme. Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I have extended the date for submissions until the 9th. I apologize, I'm working with a team and it took us some time to initially get our thoughts together about the submissions and what we are looking for. I have rated all the designs, provided specific feedback to the top rated designs, provided general feedback for all designs, and updated the product brief with additional information.
Thank you!

Muss haben
- - a distinctive graphic that can be used across all branding
- - company name incorporated, but logo can also stand on its own
- - black and white only
Schön zu haben
- - 'Sinister' aspects (reflecting the intrinsic offensive/defense nature of infosec)
- - Themes incorporating predatory insects (mantis/spider/scorpion/wasp/etc)
- - Themes incorporating 'grey hat' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_hat).
- - Themes incorporating key traditional security (keys, locks, vaults, etc).
- - Coloring: we are partial to green, black, grey (traditional infosec colors)
- - Fonts: Thicker, bolder fonts ("imposing") appear to work better with the overall theme.
- UPDATE (2017.09.06)
- - We're big fans of bold fonts. Apparently, the bolder the better. Caps are great. Here's some examples of fonts we really like:

- - https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Molot

- We're interested in seeing what some contrast between NULL & SECURITY would look like, similar to this: http://imgur.com/a/riuyL (probably with all caps, but bold/nonbold contrast).
- - We'd like to see some color variations. The overview mentions green (traditional information security colors (i.e.: https://goo.gl/k7gYHy).
- - We like 'Null Security' rather than 'NS' and 'NullSec'. It feels more professional.
