Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo for a new business concept that offers executive office suites and collobarative workspace. This is a new concept for our company that we want to have a unique identity but with some subtle elements that might call back to the larger corporate company (www.Caldwellcos.com).

The name for the executive suites is The Work Well - we have obtained the URL www.theworkwell.com

Background:
Our vision for the executive suites concept is to create a cozy, communal, local “coffee shop place” (but not like Starbucks) yet that’s a modern and professional work space/environment users would feel is the kind of work environment typically found in more urban locations - although the first location will be in a suburban market.

The bottom line with our overall branding is to create a nice, snappy, streamlined marketing presence to help get this concept launched and generate excitement and hopefully some inquires for space. We want The Work Well to be known as a cool and "unique to the area" collaborative working space that’s attractive to younger entrepreneurs as well as business people branching out into new ventures and need a professional address to establish business opportunities. There’s going to be a fine line between being new, cool and hip without being too trendy and too hipster/millennial urban.

Some of the creative thoughts that went into The Work Well name are:

1. WELL – as in a gathering place to draw inspiration.
2. WELL – as in well suited to creative collaboration
3. WELL – as in a communal spot where ideas spring to life
4. WELL – offers a subtle call out/connection to Caldwell companies and what
our brand represents
5. WELL – provides subtle biblical reference
6. Connection with things that have been completed and are good (a job well
done, that type of emotion)
7. It’s interchangeable (WORK WELL at The Boardwalk…..WORK WELL at
Wortham Green…..WORK WELL at XYZ Location

For the logo, we'd like something that has a cool icon elements to it - some ideas include an icon that might represent water to drawing water - something with waves or moving water action as well as an icon that would represent a gathering place or spot - something that suggests a communal location where thoughts and ideas are shared. Also some play on the intertwining of the W's in the alliterative name of the business.

For reference, I have attached our Caldwell Companies corporate logo standards manual just to give an idea of our corporate look and to see if there's any options for a very, very subtle connection call out to Caldwell Companies in the logo that is created for The Work Well. I don't think we want to do just a copy of our corporate maroon and gray/black for The Work Well - we do like the idea of a blueish color logo maybe with some maroon and/or grey accents.
