Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo design for a new Community that my partner and I head up named Urbexartists. Urbexartists is an urbex photo sharing community that is primarily present on Instagram but also has presence on Facebook and YouTube - and could possibly expand to a standalone website.

A little background:

Urban Exploration is the exploration of urban structures that are abandoned. So, abandoned hospitals, hotels, train tracks, power plants, etc... Most urban explorers are photographers who enjoy photographing these abandoned areas. (Yes - there are some urban explorers who are into graffiti art and such - but we really aim to celebrate the urban explorers who enjoy photography.)

Most of us enjoy the unique history of these buildings/structures and believe in preserving them through photographs. A common Urbex principle is to "take nothing but photographs and leave nothing but footprints".

For the logo, I'd like to consider that principle. Perhaps even include elements of footprints, photography and art into the logo. I also want to consider that Urban Exploration is a little bit grungy and dangerous (one can get pretty dirty climbing into windows of these old places! and it's important to be safe while doing urban exploration as many of these buildings are severely damaged and can pose life threatening dangers). In other words - a decorative elegant cursive font may not be the right font for this kind of community. :-)
