I''m not sure if this comment goes to the client or to DC site. But I need more info to make a good logo. Could I contact the company to ask what service or product they do or make? A logo cannot be done in a vacuum- or it will be meaningless to the client.
My question is how does a designer contact a client to ask questions?
Thanks

Are you guys ever gonna offer decent pay for these type of projects...Industry ethics and standards call for corporate Id dev for companies that anticipate 1,000,000 or less to charge $5000 and over a million $25,000...I know those numbers would never apply at a place like this but...to create something your company will use for the rest of it''s business life, that is your image for $125...That''s just a f***** insult.....
I completely agree, it''s just embarrassing.
Interesting will somebody work on this brief??? Since i am working on this site i never saw such a small payment for a logo.
Team we should stick together as a team, we should be minimum payment for any logo? I would suggest $ 300 American Dollars, what do you think ?
If the DesignCrowd site determines what standards we should meet when creating a logo, why couldn''t they communicate to the prospective client that a minimum for a decent logo should be at least $300 bucks. And also, I''ve created a form for clients to fill out that provides much needed information to a designer to facilitate such a project. this form is available, So my question still stands.... How do we contact the Design Crowd admin?
Designcrowd and the rest are simply insulting us as designers. To expect us to work on a logo, or any of the projects here, for this tiny amount of money is wrong. The only thing we can do is refuse, all of us refuse, to have anything to do with projects like this. I think even $300 is still too low a payment, considering that the majority of designers aill not get paid as only one design, if even that, will get chosen. Designcrowd are the only ones making money out of this at our expense. Designers should stick together and refuse to take part in this, or any other crowdsourcing projects untill the payments match the work involved. As long as we are giving in to this the paymenst will never improve!!!
Right on..Looks like we started something...Maybe we can get Design Crowd to offer a section(that we could pay to be in) where their clients can review our online portfolios and decide to hire us based on what they see..like it should be...I''ve worked hard over the years and have a portfolio of over 18,000+ published designs of which I have atleast 1000 in my online portfolio...If a client views my portfolio and can''t figure out I am capable of doing their project..then I shouldn''t be working for them anyway...Let''s see if we can make something like this happen....I would gladly pay $50 a year to be in the section and design crowd can still takes it''s profit on completed job...
i agreed /w u guys, its disgrace, they show exploitation intention on this. i couldn''t understand how they would put their own company branding reputation in risk for such a cheap design service?...how they explain this act their respective customer or business fellow?..
