Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We have two existing logos for our Water Polo Club that were designed a few years ago but have gotten a little stale over the years. When I ask people about our logos, no one hates them but the most common feeling about them is that they look a little old or dated. I think we can do a lot better with the talented people available here and get a design that is fresh, relevant and attractive. I previously ran a contest to redesign our flyer and we ended up with something awesome.

Our club is for youth to learn and play water polo. Our teams are successful and we want our logo to project that quality. A classic look is preferred as opposed to something cartoonlike. Logos should be relevant to our mission, be professional and display confidence. Something the kids and parents will be proud to wear on their shirts, hats and bathing suits as they play other teams. We are based in Southern California.

The full name of our club is "MidValley Water Polo". We also make use of the shortened form "MVPolo" (emphasizing the MVP which can also stand for Most Valuable Player in sports teams) and just our initials "MV". (for MidValley). We were founded in 1999.

Our two current logos consist of a crest with MV on it, and MVPolo with the full name under it.

The Primary colors we use for our club are Navy Blue, and White. We also incorporate the Royal Blue sometimes as an offset for the V in Valley (I am honestly not that crazy about how that looks). I am open to keeping the Royal blue if it is incorporated into the design well, or eliminating it completely. Navy Blue and White should remain in our logo and are the primary colors we want to use but are open to others.

I'm open to new and creative ideas. We plan on using our logo(s) in multiple ways. As a badge on tshirts or hats, in advertising flyers, on our team bathing suits, for our website and social media

Our logos should identify us, and be consistent with the purpose of our organization. Sports. Water Polo. Aquatics. Excellence. Strength.

I've attached the two logos we currently have as a guide to where we are right now. I am open to new ideas.
