I paid Design Crowd already to start on this project, but I cannot guarantee a payment to you as I am waiting for other designs to come in then choose one.

I think you misunderstood my comment, there are two types of projects "guaranteed and not guaranteed" payments
When I asked you to guarantee the payment I meant guarantee the payment to the project not for me :)
Anyway please check the related help topic to get a clearer idea about this issue.
