Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We are a brand new tavern and brewery opening up in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, on the edge of the Great Ocean Road. We specialise in craft beer from all around Australia, and have around 100 different craft beers available on any given day. We will have the largest range of craft and artisan beers in the region. We will brew limited release speciality brews on site.
As well as brewing and selling beer, we also provide meals that are both matched with our beers and are made from all local produce. We also stage live original music and are aiming to become the premier live music venue of the area.
The logo for the Odyssey Tavern and Brewery needs to highlight the journey or odyssey that is craft beer. We want our customers to have a a craft beer journey working their way through the beer list with quality food and music. People look at beer now with a new perspective and it can be a journey. From the initial baby steps moving away from their comfort zone (mass produced and commercial beers such as Carlton Draught, Fosters etc) to trying something a little bit different in a bar, from a bottleshop, at a mates house or at a craft brewery. This leads to experimentation and can create a never ending quest to try all types of beers near and far. It creates debate about what is good and what is bad and pushes the boundaries of the consumer and the brewers that create it.
We would like it to be unique and eye catching, and able to be used throughout different mediums; whether it be one logo that we can use for everything or multiple logos based on one central idea.
We do not want the logo to portray having any science fiction or mythological contexts when using the word Odyssey.
We want the logo to be unique and eye catching. Something that people will recognise even without the text alongside.

Hi to all designers. Thank you for your efforts. I have changed the brief slightly. We are keen to move away from a character/picture logo and get something that will be able to be used across all mediums. Hopefully all current designers and new designers will be able to find something unique the Odyssey Tavern & Brewery can be recognised for throughout Australia and the world. The use of a symbol or beer bottle shape/beer glass shape and the wording could be the way to go. However we are open to all ideas.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Due to a number of designers asking for more time and the lack of submissions thus far we have decided to extend the contest for another 5 days. We look forward to the results!
