Could you tell me if the 8.5x11" is the size of the front cover only, or is it a combined size of both the front and the back. (which is a standard paperback size - 5.5 x 8.5").
Also if you could give an idea of the approx number of pages, it would help with the bleed needed for print.

8.5 x 11 would be size of front cover. There will be about 40 pages front to back and saddle stitched.
