Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Dear Designers,

My partner and I are pedigree dog enthusiasts located in Melbourne, Australia.

We have owned Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers (AKA Tollers) for 18 years. In the last 3 years we have entered our Tollers in dog shows to good success and we currently have 2, Jack and BiBi. Towards the end of this year we intend to breed our two Tollers.

Our kennel name is called Tollerpoint. We are registered to breed Tollers with the Australian National Kennel Council.

The Toller is the smallest of the retrieving breeds. They are relatively rare in Australia. Everybody knows Goldens and Labradors. Not many people know about Tollers.

Tollers have a full red water repellent coat, with white markings. They are affectionate, playful and are very keen retrievers.

The word Tolling is an old english verb meaning to beckon (e.g., to toll the church bell). Tollers are gundogs and they 'toll' ducks and other water birds by running up and down alongside lakes and rivers with the playful action of their tail wagging. The birds are interested in this and fly down to inspect. Hunters then shoot the birds and then the Tollers will retrieve them from land or water.

My partner and I do not hunt with our Tollers but they do love swimming and retrieving balls and other toys from both land and water.

We would like a logo for our kennel that represents the fun and playful aspect of the Toller. Having said that, we want a clean and professional looking logo too.

As well as the kennel name and breed name, we would like the logo to incorporate a silhouette of a Toller.

The distinctive aspect to the Toller is its tail - when alert and at work, the tail stands high - perpendicular. Some Tollers have white tail tips too.
