Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

The following is a briefing for the creation of a logo and the website for a newly formed company named Citizen Seeker.

Citizen Seeker is a new company which is dedicated to support foreign nationals to seek and obtain citizenship in one of several European countries, primarily based on grounds of ancestry (is i.e. on the basis of the fact that an ancestor was a citizen of the country in question).

The branding for Citizen Seeker should contain the elements of: geography, emotion, precision, and the concept of searching or seeking. It is important that the branding is modern, fresh and professional. Following is a brief description of some of the images which have been uploaded as references for the creation of the logo.

Please bear in mind that I have a couple of ideas that are not mandatory, so you can come with with whatever you want.


The Globe

The concept of incorporating an image of the globe is intended to incorporate an intuitive reference to the nature of the services provided by Citizen Seeker i.e. the search and attainment of citizenship in a foreign country. I would prefer the execution of the globe to be modern and fresh and abstract e.g. hand sketch or watercolour or paintbrush effect. It would be interesting to see proposals which include an artistic twist on the concept of the globe to capture the essential elements of the nature of the services as described above i.e. citizenship, ancestry, geographic and human connections, precise searches and the emotional element associated with finally obtaining citizenship on the basis of ancestral relationships, often loved ones who are deceased at the time of application. Care must be taken to ensure that the use of the globe does not infringe or replicate other global brands which also use the globe as a central feature of the branding.



The Heart

The reason for suggesting the incorporation of the concept of the heart is to capture the element of emotion associated with the search and obtainment of citizenship on the basis of a relationship to a loved one, who is often deceased at the time of application. I would like the execution of the concept of a heart to be incorporated in a very subtle way. I do not want the shape of the heart to become dominant, corny, distracting from the core service offering or to give an overwhelming impression of romance or love. One suggestion might be to execute a subtle adjustment to the contours of the globe to suggest the concept of a heart: a geometrically perfect heart shape is to be avoided. I'm also open to other ideas, besides the heart, which could capture this concept of emotion and connection to ancestry and the family tree.



Other Elements

In addition to the ideas of the globe and a heart, I would like to see executions that incorporate other elements that speak to the services provided by Citizen Seeker example an abstract execution of the bridge (suggesting a bridge between generations and/or a bridge between continents and countries); abstract images suggesting connection between people (i.e. thread of connection between the generations that form the basis of the application for citizenship); the concept of hands connecting (i.e. suggestive of the concept that the company provides safe and secure personal support, which is reassuring); the concept of an arrow or a crosshair or other artistic elements suggesting precision and the concept of a targeted search with a clear and focused purpose and direction.



It is important that the overall look and feel of the branding is professional, reassuring, and quite sober because the company will be competing with law firms and other formal immigration service providers and therefore the branding must capture the fact that the company is providing a reliable, knowledge-based, supportive, and high quality service.

It is important that the final logo is quite simple and that artistic elements are capable of printing in various sizes and on different media so that its details and contours are sharp and clear in print format, example on business cards.



The above guidance is intended as general framework. However, other novel ideas within the above framework will be much appreciated and welcomed.
