Basically in a non guaranteed payment you can ask DC for a refund at the end of the period. Means the deigners are working without knowing for sure if one of them will get paid.
In a guaranteed project you guarantee that ONE designer ( or more if you decide to give participation payments or 2nd place payment ) will get paid . Basically you HAVE to choose a winner...
