Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for a new East Coast US company called 'Charm Data'.
This company will be a data services consulting company. We will help companies make sense of an overwhelming amount of data, using a variety of advanced analytic techniques. We want to convey a cutting edge, technology-driven company.

The "Charm" in the company refers to charmed quarks, which was a focus of our graduate work in physics. We’ve talked about integrating some imagery related to charm quarks into our logo design (see below for some reference material), but we’re not necessarily tied to the idea if we find better alternatives.

It might be nice to also have a logo that lends itself to having just the company initials “CD” as an option as well (e.g. a strictly image logo that can have “charm data” next to it, and an alternative version that has the letters “CD” integrated into the design).
