Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I run a research lab called the Educational Technology Collective (etc.) at the University of Michigan. We do educational technology research, including software development and deployment of educational technologies in large scale environments such as Coursera and EdX. The university has two official colors I would like to stick with: https://vpcomm.umich.edu/brand/style-guide/logo-guidelines

It is common for there to be wordmark style logos. Some examples include:

I'm not married to this format, but often have to complement this format on official documents (posters, software, websites, etc.)

Aspects of our lab which might be interesting:
- we are computer scientists, psychologists, and education researchers (diverse backgrounds)
- we are faculty, graduate students, and postdocs
- technology is a component of all of our work
- we do research in higher education (university)

Finally, it would be ideal if the words "educational technology collective" could be included, but also just the letters "etc", with or without a trailing period, in a shorter form.

Sliders are weak suggestions.

I'm particularly taken by the fonts Computer Modern and Crimson Text. No sans serif please. Open to script fonts which might fit the "etc" moniker. Note the university has an official font which is not available but will often appear with

Schön zu haben

• A logo that can easily be "trimmed" down from "larger" to a smaller thumbnail/wordmark, perhaps by removing the name "educational technology collective"

Sollte nicht haben

• More than 3 or four colors; the blue, yellow and white are preferred, if a fourth has to be added I'm open. Also, the logo should be easily readable from 3 feet away when rendered at 1.5-2 inches high/wide
