Web-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am attaching a couple of versions of design that was already created for the front page of the website. You can grab the same pictures and titles (do not need to know the Russian language) to create your own version of design.
Background: Monastery website contains sermons, stories about monastery life, monastery music of the sisterhood.
Main principles of the design:
1. Various materials/sermons/music have to be clearly visible immediately to the site visitor.
2. Text descriptions to photos should be using font with a good contrast, highly clickable and easily readable.
3. Every article should have a photo or a quality picture (use those in the sample) that will convey something about it.
4. On the top, there will be a menu, which will be a line of words (just use generic words for now).
5. Design should reflect Christian Orthodox themes and fonts.
