We need a logo that portrays self-worth, respect, collaboration/teamwork, and compassion/empathy that targets boys and girls ages 10-14.
We are looking for a logo that has clean sharp lines and stands out but isn’t too loud. We prefer the color combinations of Navy blue/orange, Navy blue/red, or navy blue/red orange but we are also open to other suggestions of color combos.
This Logo branding will need to be able to be used on all different surfaces – t-shirt, baseball caps, and wristbands.
We are CLEATS, Community Leaders Encouraging Academia Through Sports. We are a Non-Profit Organization. Our model is to hold three-day sports clinics in Pasadena TX (Houston suburb) ending with a college sporting event and campus tour. We differ from the sports leagues in our city in that we remove the distraction of winning and losing games. This allows us to focus on attitude, mental strength, and critical thinking skills in addition to the sports fundamentals. Furthermore, we want to teach our young athletes the importance of fine-tuning their attitude and approach on the field, because they are unknowing building the foundation for their philosophy on life.
Houston is home to many reputable universities such as The University of Houston, Rice and St. Thomas, however many kids and parents in our community are unaware of these institutions and the opportunities they offer. Baseball, basketball, soccer and football are very popular in our suburb so we aim to attract as many kids in our area as possible using sports to expose them to the many opportunities Houston has to offer. In addition to university campus tours and sporting events, we eventually want to include trips to the theater district and art museums.
Some key words to describe our mission (secondary to adjectives listed above) are: Sports, Teamwork, Perseverance, Pay-It-Forward, Collaboration, Community, Self-Worth, Self-Respect, Respect for Others, Accountability, Altruism, Ambition, Independence, drive/self-motivation, Leadership development.
Our target audience is 10 - 14 yr old boys and girls and their parents.
For the logo text, we don’t want any additional words or specific sports symbols such as a baseball, a soccer ball or basketball. The periods for the acronym should blend in instead of standing out.
