Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We are establishing a new Urologist practice (prostate, kidney and bladder surgery) in Perth, Western Australia. The practice will trade as Swan Urology, initially featuring one urologist (specialising in robotic prostate surgery) with the plan to expand into a group practice in the future.
The practice specialises in robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery (prostate cancer, kidney cancer and reconstruction), endourology (minimally invasive management of bladder tumours, benign prostate enlargement, kidney stones), and general, spinal and paediatric urology.
The design should communicate service of the highest standard, integrity, precision, empathy and efficiency. The website is currently under construction, and will acknowledge the logo designer if he/she wishes. A decision will be made promptly after the deadline so the winner can be notified and paid.

Hi, we've had 100 designs submitted, however only 3 have been shortlisted. To clarify, we need a logo that is simple, elegant, easy to recognise and will not look tacky or outdated in 30 years' time. Although we are a urology practice, we feel people do not need to be reminded of what we do, so please avoid incorporating pictures of kidneys, bladders or prostates into the logo. Hope to see more suitable designs before the deadline. Thank you!

- The name Swan was chosen as the black swan forms part of Western Australians' identity. The black swan is featured on the state emblem, and the Swan River runs through the city. Many businesses have branded themselves with a black swan (Google images: 5.7 million hits). We don't have a strong preference for/against a swan, but if you wish to submit one, please ensure it isn't used by anyone else.
