Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

UPDATE: A lot of designs seem to be focussing on the "Scottish", my apologies if the original brief wasn't clear enough. The "Photobiology" bit is the important part of the name. Also we are a caring service that puts the patient at the centre of what we do. It would be good if this could be reflected in the design.

We need a logo design for the Scottish Photobiology Service based in Dundee, Scotland. We are a national service that serves the whole of Scotland as part of our National Health Service. We investigate people who have skin conditions that make them unusually sensitive to light - both from the sun and indoor lighting. We also treat skin diseases with ultraviolet and visible light. We would like to see designs that incorporate this link between light and skin - this is essential. Maybe with a hint towards the Scottish aspect, although not blatant and also this isn't essential. Some commonality between the logo of our sister service The Scottish PDT Centre (see attached file) would be interesting, possibly with the colour scheme, but again isn't essential.
